Pantry Ready Easy Baked Bean Sauasage

Dine with the most common ingredients readily available in pantry during restriction.

INGREDIENTS

For Marinara Sauce

3 links Cajun Andouille sausage (you may sub with any sausages of your choice)

1 can baked bean

1 small yellow onion, diced into 1 inch cubes

3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced

3 tbsp ketchup

1 cup drinking water

Tobasco (you may sub with any hot sauce of your choice)

Dried basil (optional)

Salt, freshly ground black pepper

PREPARATION

Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over low-medium heat. 

Add sausages and turn occasionally, until nicely browned, about 6-8 minutes. Set aside and let cool. 

Once cooled, cut the sausages into 1/2 inch thick slices.

With the same skillet, turn to medium heat. Add garlic and onion and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.

Add baked beans, water, tomato sauce and tobasco. Bring sauce to boil. Turn to low heat and let simmer until sauce is slightly thick, about 4-5 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper.

Garnish with dried basil and serve hot with any carbs of your choice or on its own.
